Let me tell you the fact. Comics are just like other books. Each of them has their own theme, and some of these themes are not suitable for children. It’s not only about nudity or violence. Many of manga out there need a very mature audience to justify the value of the story. If you’re not careful, your children could get a topic to hard for their age to comprehend. This could lead to misjudgment or even misbehavior.

Thankfully, some comic publishers in Indonesia has realized this, and they put readers rating on their books. So I suggest you to always check the rating before buying your children some comic books. Or even better, read what they read so you can emphasize the moral lessons they can learn from the books.

I’ve seen many pregnant women before, but seeing my own wife being pregnant is a whole new experience. Knowing that something… someone… will popup of my wife and live with us as part of the family, the fruit of our love. With new fun, new love, new tasks, new experiences, new budgets and most important: new responsibilities.

Charlie Crews was a by-the-book cop. He had a nice life, a beautiful wife and was living a decent life just looking forward for his pension. Now tell me, what do you think you’ld be after living 12 years in prison for a crime you never commit? Well, Charlie spent his times learning zen to keep all his senses well while living through “hell” and he came out becoming a zen philosopher. So shortly after his released, he received a disclosed number of settlement money and an assignment as a detective in LAPD. So this is where the story begin, this is where his Life is really begin.

It’s very interesting to see how he interact with others. His new boss, new partner, ex-wife, old friends, people who keep seeing him guilty, or maybe… even the real killer (^_^) Anyway, this series would be a good company of one of your long weekend.

Sedikit tentang Pornografi

Pornografi dalam wiki dijelaskan berasal dari bahasa Yunani pornographia yang secara harafiah berarti tulisan/gambar tentang pelacur. Yang kemudian dijelaskan sebagai penggambaran tubuh manusia atau perilaku seksual manusia dengan tujuan membangkitkan rangsangan seksual. Sejarah membuktikan bahwa pornografi bukanlah hal baru di dunia, termasuk Indonesia.

Sudah banyak negara lain mengatur legalitas pornografi sesuai dengan budaya dan nilai yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing negara. Saya sendiri berpendapat Indonesia perlu mengatur distribusi dan batas konsumsi pornografi. Eits, tapi bukan berarti saya Pro RUU Pornografi, dan juga bukan berarti saya kontra.

Sedikit tentang RUU Pornografi

Saya terkejut saat pertama mendengar hebohnya RUU mengenai pornografi, langsung timbul pertanyaan “Apakah sejak dulu tidak ada sama sekali UU yang mengatur hal ini?”. Sayangnya saya memang bukan orang yang fasih masalah hukum, UU dan sejenisnya. Tapi sangat sering saya dengar/baca pendapat dari kubu kontra RUU Pornografi bahwa sudah ada UU yang cukup efektif untuk mengatur masalah pornografi, katanya sih hanya pengaplikasiannya saja yang tidak ketat (entah mengapa sepertinya terdengar sangat tidak mengejutkan).

Cara pandang kita akan mempengaruhi keputusan dan tindakan kita. Saya bisa memiliki banyak nama panggilan di banyak tempat, tapi perbedaan nama tidak akan merubah perilaku saya karena saya masih memandang apapun dengan cara yang sama. RUU Anti Pornografi dan Pornoaksi diganti nama menjadi RUU Pornografi, sekilas seolah ada perubahan dari penolakan menjadi pengaturan, tapi tanpa adanya perubahan cara pandang dari para perancang hasilnya akan sama saja.

Pornografi dan Tindakan Kriminal Seks

Beberapa perdebatan mengemukakan bahwa peng-antian pornografi diharapkan dapat menurunkan jumlah tindakan kriminal seks. Fakta memang memperlihatkan bahwa ada pelaku kriminal seks (bahkan anak-anak) yang terdorong oleh hasratnya saat mengkonsumsi film porno. Tapi mari tidak berhenti menggali dan merasa puas hanya sampai di situ. Saya menantang pengadaan survey untuk mendapatkan jumlah pengkonsumsi beragam materi pornografi di Indonesia, dan saya yakin kita bisa mendapatkan nilai yang sangat tinggi. Bahkan akan sangat tinggi bila kita bandingkan dengan jumlah pelaku tindakan kriminal seks. Hasil survey ini mungkin bisa memperkuat pendapat saya bahwa ada faktor lain yang lebih kuat sebagai pendorong para pelaku kriminal seks, yang saya percaya ialah faktor psikologis (sangat dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang kehidupannya).

Sedikit Menyimpulkan Sendiri

Apa masalah terbesar zaman ini dalam pengaturan pornografi? Jawaban saya ialah internet. Dalam dunia maya tanpa batas ini hampir tidak mungkin menciptakan ruangan dengan aturan khusus yang tak bercelah. Kenyataan ini seharusnya menyadarkan kita bahwa kunci utama ada pada pengendalian diri masing-masing.

Jadi bila pornografi hanyalah pemicu, maka kunci utama inilah yang menentukan kelahiran seorang pelaku kriminal seks. Ya pa gak ya? (^_^) kaburrrr…….

When You Sleep ~ by. Cake

They say you need about 8 hours of sleep a day. I also read an article about a survey result showing that people who lives longer spend 6-7 hours a day for sleeping. Despite of the fact that everyone have some sleep everyday, I believe that sleeping remains a mystery for most people (at least it is for me ). Why do we have dreams? What’s the meaning of those dreams? What about sleepwalking? or ngompol (bedwetting)?

Hm… Discussing those matters would take a lifetime. Let’s just skip that. I have a very simple question today, what’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in your sleep? Me? Here is a list of answers I could get from myself:

• Hit my wife
  (she woke me up and said that I just hit her. Strange, I can’t remember anything. Beside, I actually still refuse to believe that I did that)
• Spit
  (yuck, I remember kinda blur that I also spit in my dream)
• Sing
  (or more likely humming, I also remember I sang in my dream, my wife told me about this the morning after)

Well, that’s mine. What’s your weirdest thing? (^_^) dare to share?

Since we can’t keep them (we already have 3 dogs at home), we only gave a temporary name to each of them. The 1st one we named Sapi, because she looks a lot like a cow (^_^) Then Bear because she’s so white and look like a polar bear (^-^) and the last one we named Phantom because she’s all black.

My friend will adopt phantom, and my aunt is thinking to adopt one, too (though she still hasn’t made her final decision on which one she’d have). It’s hard to let go the puppies (.,) They’re already like part of the family. But as I said, we already have 3 dogs, and there’s no way we can keep another (unless we’re having a larger house with larger yard and larger income, hehe). But this means we still have 1 puppy needing a new home, anyone? (–,)

I got this message poping up on my computer already a few times in the last few days. Some comes through YM and some through Skype.

Well, I know giving birth is not an easy experience. I also know she didn’t raise me instantly, and I surely know that she wants nothing but the best for me. Yet, I still hurt her feelings some times. And yes! Yes, I love my mom. The big question mark is, what’s the connection of forwarding this message and our mother? How would sending this message to another 10 persons could make my mom lives longer? Pul-lie-asee…

If you love really your mom, please:

1. Stop sending this kinda message.
2. Give her a warmth call regularly.
3. Visit her and give her a lovely hug and kiss.
4. Tell her that you love her.

I can’t promise you that she’ll live longer, but I assure you that she’ll be a very happy mother.

Since she likes drawing, taking photos (esp. of our dogs), scrap-booking and photo designs, we decided to make the homepage as a gallery. We plan to also use it for our family album, and since she likes cooking (sometimes ), she’ll also upload photos of food she made which I’m sure would make you drool.

Entah karena merasa bersalah atas sedikit keterlambatannya pengumuman pemenang atau mungkin karena jumlah pemenang yang mengalami sedikit perubahan, purina mengambil inisiatif untuk memberi kenang-kenangan bagi semua partisipan (yang sayangnya belum kami terima).

Hm…, saat umur bertambah selalu bisa menjadi saat yang tepat untuk perenungan. Sedikit berkaca di lorong waktu rasanya seperti gak percaya kalau dulu gw jg berawal dari seorang bayi. Kalau gw juga pernah melewati masa2 sekolah. masuk SD, naik SMP, SMA, lulus kuliah, sekarang semua hanya seperti mimpi. Kata orang-orang sih sekarang gw udah dewasa (baca: om-om ).

So today, I want to share what I’ve learned from life up-to this current version:

1. Hidup adalah perubahan.

   Seperti software yang terus berkembang menjadi versi yg lebih baik, so should our life is.

2. Hidup adalah perjuangan.

   Perubahan tidak akan berhasil tanpa kerja keras.

3. Hidup harus punya target.

   To hit a target isn’t easy, but to hit no target is impossible.

4. Hidup bukan tanpa kesalahan.

   Bug is not a problem if we know how to fix it.

5. Hidupkan rencana, bukan hidup dalam rencana.

   It’s good to have plan in our life, but we need to keep our mind open and ready for any unpredicted things.
