This 3rd series of Caribbean Pirates was one of our (me n uly) most wanted upcoming movie this year, and knowing that it was already played on the cinema had really liven up our excitement. Well, we didn’t wait for days to rush in.

Jack Sparrow, once again teamed up a great trio with Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. This time supported by other 2 Pirate Captains, Barbossa and Sao Feng (A really great appeareance by Chow Yun Fat as another asian movie star in Holywood). My impression is, despite of its lack of answers in some parts of this movie (I think some points are meaningless), in overall, this movie has really worth the wait. We experienced quite a great pirate-sphere in about 2 and a half hour duration.

As usual, don’t hope for any detail review of the movie from me, I don’t do that :p Instead, I have things I like to share. Well Actually, I’ve almost given up the sharing, It’s just too Pirate! What would you expect to learn from them? But then again, I guess pirates are flesh anyway. Here are some some things I could end up with:

Love n Friendship

There’s always a place for love and friendship in one’s heart. Doesn’t matter how evil a man could be, how sadist a villain could have become, how hard oneself would try to deny it, it’s there.

Friends are Friends

Well, we’re not a friend other could always rely on, sometimes our ego swim up to surface, sometimes we might even betray our friends to save our own life. We might make bad decisions in worst conditions, but friends are friends. Don’t remove any name from your friend list easily, give them a chance, their next act might suprise you (in a good way I hope).

Number does Matter

I can’t disagree that quality is much more important than quantity. But that never mean we should forget about quantity. Quality is 1st priority and quantity comes next. Just because you’re so good in something, it doesn’t mean you should do it alone. Gather up, team up and gain more.

All is Fair in Love n War

Ever heard of it before? Despite of all the good sides I’ve mentioned, let’s not put our awareness down. This is a hard world afterall, we shouldn’t be so naive. There are people who wouldn’t need to think twice to kick your back, just beware (^_^)

Gah! I guess that’s just it. I’m sure I didn’t spoil anything, did I? Enjoy the movie!

I’m not actually a great fan of spiderman, especially the comic books. But the wide screen version has really caught my heart. Since the first of the series released in 2002, it has really brought such a great movie experience. The 2nd came in 2004, bringing even a better experience. And Spiderman 3, which they say as the last of the series, has really thrown me out my seat! I say it’s fantastic! Superb! Great fighting technic, full optimization of the latest technology. And the drama, a really good touch in reaching our emotion, considering it was an action movie. I believe they could have made it more dramatic if it were a TV series (^_^) but let’s not discuss the unnecessary.

There’s just this one thing I’m not sure whether I should like or not from this movie, it shows its moral message so clearly. They even have a narrator for it. It took the fun away from me. I like trying to seek for moral / motivational message from a movie. Well, anyway, as the movie told, life is about making choices. We can never say that we had no choice, because it’s always there. Perhaps, It’s us who choose not to see them. Even in the most deadly situation, we have a choice to just wait and see it coming, or to at least try to do something, anything, even knowing that it might be the last thing we can do.

And sometimes, sometimes we make a wrong choice. Well people make mistakes, I do, you do, everybody does. We can’t undo the wrong, it doesn’t have the Ctrl+Z function. So let’s be very careful in making critical choices, and don’t forget to learn from the wrong we’ve made.

Ah, of course there are other things I could share:

Things are not always as they seem, don’t judge them easily. Give chance to others for an explanation. Harry made this wrong choice, though he finally work it out, he could never undo the scars

Don’t act super, even spiderman needs help sometime (^_^)

Be empathic, the world is not all about us, pay good attention to others in sincere, especially to those we love. Well, affairs don’t happen by willingness, it’s the chance which allow it (quoted from bang napi :p). MJ had the chance, it’s good that she didn’t fall for it, but would you give her the chance?

We sometimes let the symbiote take control of our life, things might feel better for a moment, but we know it’ll get worst. It’s our life, let’s go to a church bell and set ourself free.

I guess that is everything. And eh…, I don’t share this because I’m already good at it, this blog is also a reminder for me, for things I’ve learned, even from a movie. God bless..

~ This post is a sequel of a previous one ~

NExT movie is Bean Holiday. Everybody knows Mr.Bean, and everybody knows how funny he is. I guess that’ll be a hard situation for this movie, since everyone goes to watch this movie would have great expectations on it, and so do we. Me and my girl both enjoy Mr.Bean series. So we watched this movie with great expectations. Unfortunately, we’re not as pleased as we expected to be. The movie was funny, entertaining, we laughed in many parts of it, but still something is missing. I’m not quite sure what it is, but I think this bean is not as bean as he used to be. He’s just a funny man, but not bean enough. Well, as I’ve said, It’ll be hard for him to maintain his well-known personallity as bean, or perhaps it’s just me with my great expectations. Anyway, this is a good movie, I’ll give it a 3 point of 5.

AND… to answer my friend’s request on things we could learn from this movie :p Actually, at first I’ve almost given up hope that I could learn anything from a bean :p But as I’ve mentioned, this bean is not bean enough. I could still steal something:

Focus

Bean kept his focus well. His main destination is a holiday to the beach at cannes, and he finally achieved it. We should keep our focus to one thing at a time, or we might end up having nothing at all.

Responsible

There’s no way I’ll be able to learn this from the real bean :p But this bean has some of it. When he caused the father missed the train, he tried to accompany and cheer up the kid. He even helped out when a beggar seemed taking advantage of the lonesome kid. Well, big applause to bean :p

ENJOY IT!

This one could be learned even from the bean series. Something most people often forgot. But it’s the most important meaning of living. We might made mistakes and wrong decisions, it’s a must for us to take the consequences, but it’s a choice how to live through it. Bean has always taught us to Enjoy life. Whatever happen, we don’t need to upset too much about things, just enjoy it, enjoy life, as bean does (^_^)

I watched 2 movies a few days ago. Since I watched them in the same day, I guess I’ll share them in the same post, too (^_^) We were going to watch bean at 19:30, but only the front seats are available. Watching from front seats is a pain it the a** :p being too close to the screen, your eyes won’t be able to focus on the whole screen, and you’ll also have your neck ache after it. So we decided to watch TMNT instead. Having walked around the mall, I remembered the ticket girl said something about bean played at 22:00, so I asked my girl if she would like to watched it after TMNT, and so we did.

Now let’s on to the first movie, TMNT is the abbreviation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’ve been loving them since I was a kid. I’ve seen the early 2 movies of TMNT which has also been brought to wide screen, but this one use FULL 3D animation. The movie started with a short introduce to TMNT. It also told that Shredder is dead, and Leonardo was sent to a training deep in the jungle.

~ Before reading ahead, please notice that I might spoil some of the good part here ~

I don’t expect too much from this movie, I only wanna experience a bit of the good old days :p Back to the movie, the 3D was cool! the story was nice, but the fight scene wasn’t satifying enough. The BEST one was Leo vs Raph. I was hoping to see a great teamwork when they fought the Final Boss. But the fight ended too soon and too easy. How could the turtles which couldn’t even defeat the 1st monster fought equally with those stone creatures which could defeated the 13 monsters easily. I wish they’ll do something about it in the next TMNT (i believe they’re making one). And the whole movie was too short. It played in less than 90 minutes. And they don’t even have the original TMNT soundtrack (this one could really bring back the moment). I guess I’ll give it a 3 point of 5. Wait, still there are a few things we can learn from this movie:

Brotherhood

Brothers could have quarrel, or even fight. But that doesn’t wipe the brotherhood. It even needed in some cases. After we threw it all out, we’ll feel better, and we’ll be able to see things clearly (I hope, cause I never fight my brother :p)

Leadership

Being a leader doesn’t mean we’re the best. Those we lead might have better skill than us in certain fields, and our part as a leader is to win their trust. Make them believe that we’ll lead them to better things, for the team and for each of its member.

Leadership (2)

Never blame a failure to one of your member. It’s a leader’s responsibilities to stand before the team.

Well, after having some toughts, I decide to have Bean on my next post (^_^)

I watched this movie last week – “300″ – It’s about the brave warriors of Spartans against the great force of Persians. From my own point of view, the main idea of the movie is to acknowledge the Spartans. But it’s not the movie I like to share, It’s what I’ve learned from it. The 300 Warriors of Spartans has shown me how to fight in a battle, how to gain victory, how to win a war and how to build a strong team.

Life is a war. Well, at least it is to me. But the war is not only ours, We’ll pass the result of our war to our descendants, and so it will continue. Here are the things I want to share:

Set Our Heart

Always start from the inner part. Start from our inner self. Each of the 300 Spartans had a very strong commitment. They’ve carved it to their heart. In this life, we need to carved our objectivess to our heart, or we might never achieved it

Good Friends

What’s closest to us is next in the list. The Spartans protect one another. They fought side by side instead of solo action. They believe their friends, and they answer their friends’ belief. We need friends to live through hard times, and don’t forget they need us, too.

Trained Skill

Without this, we’ll be nothing but an underdog. Nothing comes instantly. Each of the Spartans has great skill as a warrior. They trained their body as well as their heart. Let’s train ourself well, especially the skill we need the most.

Well Prepared Strategy

The Spartan knows how to win a battle, they have many strategies and know when to use it. Each battle needs an appropriate strategy. We should learn as much strategy as we can, learn from anyone we can, from their success and even from things they’ve failed.

Great Leadership

The King of Spartan is one of the best Role Model as a Great Leader. I’ve read this somewhere,

“The highest compliment a leader can receive is one given by those he lead”

He fights for those he lead, and they fight for him. He also shown a great sample in dissociating Love and Sympathy. When the “ugly hero” wanted to follow him as a warrior, he didn’t allow his sympathy influence his decision. I saw it as an act of love instead of a denial. The king love and accept him as he is, but he can not accept himself, he deny his own flaws. Leadership is not about genes, it’s not a gift nor bless, it grows through learning and practice.

War vs Battle

This is one of the greatest part, we are in a war. And we’ll face many battles. We might lose some battles, but don’t give up hope. The Spartan tought us about sacrifice, (spoiler alert!!) they might have lost their last battle, but they win the war. I’ve mentioned it before, the war is not only ours, we’ll pass it to our future generations. I hope it doesn’t have to be this way, but some people needs to lost their last battle to give victory to their children.

Anyway, this is a great movie (despite the horrible bloody war scenes), and I had a really good time. I’m looking forward to anyone sharing more things learned from this movie (^_^) God bless..
