Clicking the link led me to a forum which share images of a translated comic (it’s in Bahasa). I read it page by page, and WoW, I was tottaly amazed, It’s a very great ending from a very great story. Then, some things bothered me. Some of the image quality isn’t as good as usual, and the comic block is too rigid. So I started to google around. Well, I found out in most forums, many people believe that this is the last episode of doraemon, and some even question why it has never been published here in Indonesia, and worst, some even blame that the publisher do it on purpose.

Like I said, I’m here to share what I know. Doraemon is created by a very talented manga artist Hiroshi Fujimoto or whom we know as Fujiko F Fujio. A bit detail about this mangaka, there use to be Fujio Fujio, the pen name of the great mangaka duo, Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. They started their career as mangaka together. After some time, each of them begin to work at his own manga. Fujimoto then use the name Fujiko F Fujio, and Abiko use the name Fujio Fujio (A).

Back to the topic about Doraemon, there are a few episodes in the series where Doraemon has to return to the future. Actually we could see them as the ending of the story, if they were made as the last episode (^_^) But since the series still continue with more stories, we don’t consider those episodes as endings. And… Fujimoto died before having the chance to decide the ending for Doraemon series. So, Doraemon is considered as series with no ending. But, there are 3 most often quoted urban legends of Doraemon ending. And one of them is the one I read and which you can download at the bottom of this post.

So to make it clear, there are NO official ending of Doraemon Series. The manga you can download below is a doujin, and was translated to Bahasa by someone. However, I personally believe that even Fujimoto Sensei would love this ending

I’m not really sure that the term Indonesian Manga is correct, but let’s just use it for now. Anyway, while I was standing in front of the new released shelf, having my eyes around the books, I recognized 3 of my collections. I picked them up without hesitation. Next, I had my 2nd look at the same shelf (I could repeat this 3 to 10 times just to satisfy my self ). This time, my eyes stopped at a new Indonesian manga, Bounty Hunter Zero. I picked it up and read the preview at the back of the book. Hm…, it doesn’t explain much. I tried to seek the number ’1′ to know if it’s a one shot or not. Didn’t find it anywhere, though. Well, I think the cover looks good, and I like the cute characters in it. Then I put it back on the shelf. I walked around the store for a while, and went to the cashier. It’s a good thing they put it beside the new released shelf. I had my 2nd thought, took a glance look at the new Indonesian manga, and finally picked and handed it to the cashier.

I’ve bought some other Indonesian mangas before, but most are from komikers. Well, this one was done by other team, they name them self Diamante Studio. I’m not sure what it means, and honestly, I never heard of them before.

Anyway, back to the New Indonesian Manga, Bounty Hunter Zero, I read it as I got home. I examine the cover image again, and I found that I don’t really like the title font and the pink chessboard background. Well, I open the plactic cover and begin to read it. My first Impression on the first few pages is, hm… the drawing is not as good as the pro (yet), but it’s nice, I like the style. After a few more pages, I found the story is also not as powerful as the pro (yet), but I like it, too. I stopped in the middle of it for something and read it back till finish. My overall impression, I enjoy both the story and the drawing. But I do believe they will develop more skills and produce even better. I’ll be waiting for their next release. One more thing, after I visited their homepage, I found them saying that Bounty Hunter Zero should have 7 volumes. Well, when I check the cover again, I found their cute mascot holding a clock showing hour 1. I wonder if this means number 1. I suggest to at least print this number at the side view.

I still haven’t found a complete review about Manga Bible, most sites I’ve explored are selling it with short preview or just giving a short preview with some cover images. But I found out it’s not actually japanese manga, because the manga artist was actually a British/Nigerian name siku. It’s published by Hodder Headline, a British publishing company with a number of well-known imprints, part of the Hodder Headline Group (quoted from wiki). Well, I think anywhere in the world, most kids will love to read comic books rather than the bible. And since the Japanese Manga style is Booming, it’s great to have Bible in a manga version.

Searching at the official site of its official publishers, I found 3 released of this manga, here they are with short descriptions I quoted from the official publisher site:

Kesan awal gw, untuk kategori gambar, AM tidak dapat dikategorikan sebagai gambar keren, tapi sangat unik. Untuk kategori cerita, gak lama gw sudah mulai terbawa dengan keindahan penuturan cerita kompleks dengan humor yang ringan. Semakin mengikuti gw menjadi semakin terbawa dalam setiap konflik antar karakter. 4 Jempol gw angkat untuk AM, gw langsung ketagihan.

Karena gambarnya yang unik, karangan AM sangat mudah dikenali. Suatu hari gw ke gramed untuk kunjungan rutin :p dan gw melihat gambar yang sangat gw kenal itu di tumpukan komik lama yang lagi obral. Ternyata sudah ada komik AM lain sebelumnya (slow step) yang diterbitin di Indo. Langsung gw ubek2 tumpukan komik itu buat cari seri selengkapnya. Gw ga langsung dapet semua, tapi setelah perjuangan hunting di beberapa gramed akhirnya gw bisa ngelengkapin. Benar-benar adiktif, semakin banyak gw baca karangan AM, gw jadi semakin terjerat ama kuatnya alur cerita beliau. Sepertinya bukan cuma gw yang merasakan hal itu, karena dalam waktu dekat, beberapa komik lain karangan AM mulai diterbitkan. Seperti tidak pernah kehabisan ide bikin cerita yang menggigit, walau memang harus diakui gambar karakter (khususnya karakter utama) di semua komiknya kurang variatif (mirip2) :p Jadi mesti hati2 kalo baca serial komik AM yang beda sekaligus, nanti bisa lupa n ketuker lagi baca tentang cerita yang mana (^_^)

Intinya, buat yang demen komik, terutama komik dengan alur cerita yang kuat, gw sangat menyarankan mulai cari nih salah satu karangan Adachi Mitsuru. Isi cerita komiknya? Komplit! Persahabatan, rival, romantis, sedih, lucu, bikin penasaran dan yang paling seru, susah ketebak arahnya. Bacanya udah kaya makan gado2 :p
