Well, did anyone notice some changes in my blog? I’ve added some ads to it. They’re google’s. So, what about these ads? I just wannna share my blogwalking experience a few days ago. It seems to me that many bloggers all around the world is monetizing their blog. Some even make it as their professions. For them, blogging has become more than just… blogging :p I also found that some people has succeed.

My personal perspective, Everyone has the rights to do whatever they like, and some people are so lucky they can earn money at the same time. I believe this goes for blogging as well. But sometimes…, no, perhaps many times, people like to hear other’s success story, and just starting to walk the same path. They aim to earn what they’ve heard. Is this wrong? I think it’s natural, as long you keep it that way. But most people often forget the most important things, the Fun! They failed to notice one of the success key, one of the main factor of success, is to enjoy what they do. Don’t concentrate on making money and miss all the fun.

Sebenernya sudah beberapa lama ini terpikir, bilingual blogging itu salah gak ya? Kata itu sendiri sih rasanya kurang tepat, karena bilingual itu artinya bisa berbicara dalam dua bahasa. Berarti bilingual blogging ialah nge-blog dalam dua bahasa (harusnya semua post dapat dilihat dalam dua bahasa). Beda ama gw yang bilingual blogging-nya itu ya kadang-kadang bahasa indonesia, kadang-kadang bahasa inggris :p

I’ve had this thought in my head for a while, is it bad to do bilingual blogging? Well, actually the word doesn’t really seem to fit itself, since bilingual should means speaking in 2 languages, which describe bilingual blogging as blogging in 2 languages (all the post should be available in 2 languages). And here’s my own bilingual blogging style, having some posts in bahasa, and some others in english :p

WordPress 2.2 di release beberapa minggu yang lalu. Dapet kabarnya sih dari blognya okta. Blom langsung kepikir sih untuk upgrade, tapi akhirnya hari ini kesampean juga. Pengen sharing sedikit aja nih step-step update nya. Oh iya, sebelumnya sekedar info, gw upgrade dari WordPress 2.1.0; Berikut langkah2 upgrade yg gw lakukan sesuai petunjuk wordpress:

I’m not sure you’ve noticed, I’ve changed my tagline recently. It now says, well, you can see at the top of the page, and it’s the same as the title of this post. What is it all about? It’s just a quote coming out of my head.

They begin in mind, this first 4 words is what came out first. They mean whatever we want, whatever we do, whatever we say, they begin in our mind. They started abstract, untouchabel nor unseen. That is their first form. Do you wanna get a promotion? In your job, or in whatever you do now? It’s started in your head.

Filtered by heart, the next 3 words is somewhat a reminder. We can think whatever we want, or wish whatever we like, but our heart is the filter. Whether you will get promoted, it’s your heart to decide. How strong your will is, how hard you will try, how persistence you would be, they’re the reflection of your heart.

Your mind do the thingking, the wishing, the hoping or the expectation, and your heart set the commitment, the discipline and the hard work.

Gw pertama kenal blog itu tau dari friendster. Sejak tahu bahwa friendster punya fasilitas untuk bikin personal blog secara gratis, gw mulai aktifin blog gw dan posting macem-macem. Gak kerasa, ternyata gw sudah nge blog lebih dari 1,5 tahun. Masih sedikit sih kalo dibandingin senior blogger yg laen (^_^)

Banyak sih gak enaknya pake blog di friendster, soalnya terbatas banget fasilitas yg kita dapet. Sampai akhirnya chen (temen gw) beli nama domain, sewa hosting dan bikin blog sendiri (waktu itu gw blom tau wordpress sama sekali). Dari situ gw mulai agak tergoda buat ngekor, dan alhasil pada akhir bulan February 2007 ini gw membeli nama domain dan sewa hosting dari tempat yang sama dengan temen gw itu. Kebetulan lagi ada promosi jadi gw langsung beli 2 paket dan dapet 1 paket gratis. Yang 1 dipake ama irwan, dan yang gratis buat uly.
