I’ve shared about 2 wordpress plugins I use to support photo blogging before. Well, here’s the update, after using Lightbox for some time, I found it really thirst of resource, and was causing heavy load on my blog. I was truly amazed by its work, but I can’t tolerate the load any longer. So I decide to find another solution. Well, looks like I’m not the only one, and even better, someone else has done the slimming process to Lightbox load and came up with Litebox, a much lighter version of Lightbox. Perfect! So next step is to seek for Litebox plugin for WordPress. Didn’t take much time to find one

I downloaded it, tested it locally and found it worked perfectly. So I installed it to my blog right away. Tada, came up with a small problem. It can’t locate 2 images, the loading and the close button. I checked the source a bit, and found the problem. It was because I’m using static URI, date and name base permalink. The javascript didn’t translate the image location correctly. The fix is simple, open litebox-1.0.js in js folder and seek for this line:

var fileLoadingImage = "wp-content/plugins/gblitebox/images/loading.gif";
var fileBottomNavCloseImage = "wp-content/plugins/gblitebox/images/closelabel.gif";

All I did was added a slash at the beginning of the string so it would look like this:

var fileLoadingImage = "/wp-content/plugins/gblitebox/images/loading.gif";
var fileBottomNavCloseImage = "/wp-content/plugins/gblitebox/images/closelabel.gif";

Very simple fix huh? but I didn’t work it out instantly. I edited the file a few times but uploaded a different file with the same filename from another location. It took me half an hour to realize it phew.

Here are 3 Simple questions for a start

1. “How much do you make a month?” No, please don’t answer it out loud. Let’s just try to have the number in our head.
2. Next question is, “who do you love the most? Are you sure?” Well, Let’s keep the answer for now.
3. My last question, “how do you spend what you’re making in the 1st question?”

I personally believe that wealth and heart always stay in the same place. So I’m sure you’ve understand the point of my questions. If your answer to question number two is not related to the answer of question number three, well, there must be something wrong with your answer

Always speak with data, that’s what my previous boss always told me I would like to make us realize, what really is the most important thing in our life, and learn how to value it. So tell me again, “who do you love the most?” If my boss ask me this question, I believe the next thing he want is for me to show the data that help me conclude my answer. That’s where question number three came.

Sebuah peribahasa yang sangat terkenal di Indonesia. Anak-anak SD sudah pasti tahu apa arti dan maksudnya. Sayangnya, saat para guru mengingatkan mereka, saat yang bersamaan dunia mengajarkan mereka belajar melupakannya. Yah, mungkin bukan dunia, tapi lingkungan di Indonesia ini. Contohnya sih yang realistis aja, coba kita ingat2, di Jakarta, berapa kali dalam sehari kita bisa bertemu pengendara motor yang tidak menggunakan helm. Yang lebih menyedihkan lagi, karena tidak menggunakan helm sering gw melihat pengendara di bawah umur. Memang ada yang baik dan hati-hati, tapi tidak jarang juga yang urakan dan sok jago.

Melihat ini sering membuat gw berpikir, saat gw jadi orang tua nanti, akankah gw biarkan anak gw membawa sepeda motor sebelum waktunya, apalagi kalau tidak pakai helm. Kalau melihat pengalaman gw sendiri dulu, gw belajar mengendarai mobil sebelum waktunya (belum cukup umur untuk punya SIM). Tapi dari zaman abang dan kakak2 gw belajar mobil sampai ke gw, bonyok selalu gak bosen2nya menekankan 2 hal:

1. tidak ada hebatnya kalau bisa bawa mobil, kita cuma akan jadi sama dengan supir-supir lain, supir angkot, supir taxi, supir bus, ya supir.
2. saat kita nyetir mobil, satu kaki di mobil, satu sudah di penjara, salah sedikit bisa-bisa langsung masuk penjara dua2nya. Jadi harus selalu hati-hati.

Wah, baru sadar, pas banget gw launchnya di tripple 7 070707; Jackpot dah!

Berbicara mengenai ranjau paku, gw yang memang pemula dalam mengendarai motor ini cukup punya banyak pengalaman (yg tidak bisa dibanggakan tentunya ) – Rekor “terbaik” ialah bocornya ban karena paku sebanyak 4 kali dalam sebulan di tempat yang berbeda. Pertama kena di rawa sari dekat kolam renang Arcici, pulang2 berenang sudah harus dorong motor lumayan jauh cari tukang tambal ban (soalnya tukang tambal ban terdekat orangnya lagi ga ada). Kedua kalinya di kemang pulang meeting dari Club Azur, begitu keluar langsung olang oleng ban udah bocor. Ketiga kena di Kelapa Gading Boulevard, akhirnya gw ganti ban dalem (untung bawa cadangan). Keempat yang paling barusan di jalan belakang ITC cempaka mas abis pulang ngapel. Ini paling bahaya karena kebetulan lagi jalan agak cepet. Hiks, ban dalem baru ane akhirnya langsung kena tambalan juga.

Intinya! Jangan terlalu percaya tips gw, karena terbukti gw sendiri belum bisa mengatasinya Tapi tetep gw akan share beberapa hal yg gw udah pelajari tentang ranjau paku nih (^_^) semoga bermanfaat.

STORY: Today is da day! Uly finally moved to a new house. Goodbye Kelapa Gading, Hello Kampung Ambon (Rawamangun)!
The whole process took a few days, from packing, ordering car, helpers, survey, etc. But the final moving process took only a day. We started around 12pm today, and finished it before 7pm. And now, I’m very very tired. I feel like sleeping for one whole week. But let me share these photos before I do
