Sudah lama nih gak bikin css baru dari awal, kebetulan hari ini mulai buat template untuk kerjaan. Hal yang sudah lama gw temuin dan gw pake tiba2 jadi lupa lagi solusinya. Yah, namanya juga manusia. Mau share aja buat yang mungkin mengalami kendala yang sama, ada saatnya kita ingin memiliki template dengan lebar yang tidak memenuhi browser, misalnya berukuran fix 780 pixel. Pertanyaan berikutnya yang datang saat itu ialah, template kita itu dalam browser ingin terlihat berada di kiri, tengah atau kanan?

Sudah hampir 5 bulan gw mengendarai motor sambil membawa laptop. Memang bukan pilihan yang terbaik, tapi terkadang kita tidak bisa mengambil pilihan yang lebih baik. Dalam beberap bulan itu, banyak hal yang sudah gw pelajari, baik dari pengalaman gw sendiri, maupun dari sharing pengalaman temen atau siapapun yang gw dapetin. Kemarin malam, saat sedang di motor, gw merasa ada baiknya gw share sedikit tips, tentang hal-hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan bagi pengendara motor yang membawa laptop. Mudah-mudahan bisa membantu baik rekan-rekan yang mungkin selama ini sudah senasib, atau yang baru mau coba2 ikutin nasib saya. Berikut tips dari saya:

The idea came from chenz a few months ago. We and our Adira Friends liked to gather up and play Pro Evolution Soccer 6 using my Tecra. The problem is, it has many services running for development environment (DE), which I’ll need to shutdown one by one manually just before we begin the tournament. He suggest me to create some kind of shortcut to turn off all the unnecessary services for gaming environment (GE). But I didn’t apply it untill a few days ago.

I didn’t need to wait too long to come up with another good reason “why I need it”. I used to have all the services for DE running automatically with windows startup. This, of course will slow down the startup process of my windows. What if I’m starting it up for GE? well, I need to wait untill the DE loaded, then do the manual ritual. That’s Number One. Sometimes, I also like to go back to DE after having some fun with GE, and that, would need a reverse action of the manual ritual. Number Two. Then, I realize I need other environments I like to have a shortcuts to. Well, I count that one as Number Three, etc.

Or is it just me??

My life is currently in the hand of my baby, a Tecra S2 Toshiba. It responsibles for my daily work. I’ve had it for more than 2 years. It has had problem with heat since the early used. The left part of the notebook is too hot. The heat could damage papers and even books. But since I can still use it normally, I never really pay good attention to it.

Anyway, the problem seems to get worst nowadays. When I played 3D game for some times, it’ll get overheat and whola, the blue screen shows up, and it’ll restart the system. Very annoying. But that’s just the beginning. Today, the LCD suddenly go black! And I wasn’t playing any 3D game, I was just working with my web development environment. I wait for a while, but the LCD showed no sign of life at all. So I turned it off, pulled out the AC Power, put it back in, and switched on the power. Hm… no luck, the LCD stayed black. It really freaked me out, I’ld be dead if it went broke.

Well, did anyone notice some changes in my blog? I’ve added some ads to it. They’re google’s. So, what about these ads? I just wannna share my blogwalking experience a few days ago. It seems to me that many bloggers all around the world is monetizing their blog. Some even make it as their professions. For them, blogging has become more than just… blogging :p I also found that some people has succeed.

My personal perspective, Everyone has the rights to do whatever they like, and some people are so lucky they can earn money at the same time. I believe this goes for blogging as well. But sometimes…, no, perhaps many times, people like to hear other’s success story, and just starting to walk the same path. They aim to earn what they’ve heard. Is this wrong? I think it’s natural, as long you keep it that way. But most people often forget the most important things, the Fun! They failed to notice one of the success key, one of the main factor of success, is to enjoy what they do. Don’t concentrate on making money and miss all the fun.

This 3rd series of Caribbean Pirates was one of our (me n uly) most wanted upcoming movie this year, and knowing that it was already played on the cinema had really liven up our excitement. Well, we didn’t wait for days to rush in.

Jack Sparrow, once again teamed up a great trio with Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. This time supported by other 2 Pirate Captains, Barbossa and Sao Feng (A really great appeareance by Chow Yun Fat as another asian movie star in Holywood). My impression is, despite of its lack of answers in some parts of this movie (I think some points are meaningless), in overall, this movie has really worth the wait. We experienced quite a great pirate-sphere in about 2 and a half hour duration.
